LINCOLN, Neb. Womens Blake Bortles Jersey . -- Another time, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini would have been enraged by his defences performance. Not this time. No. 11 Nebraska defeated Washington 51-38 in a wild game Saturday in which the teams combined for 884 yards of offence -- and the usually defensive-minded Pelini was all smiles. He wouldnt say it during the week, but this game was about revenge. "I would hope our football team took personal what happened out in San Diego, losing that football game," Pelini said. "End of the day, we all wanted a win. I dont care what the score is." The Cornhuskers (3-0) won the third meeting of the teams in 364 days. Nebraska won 56-21 in Seattle last September but lost 19-7 in a rematch at the Holiday Bowl. Taylor Martinez threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third in the fourth quarter that looked to put away the Huskies (2-1). But the Huskies wouldnt quit in the mist at Memorial Stadium, with Keith Price passing 52 yards to James Johnson for his fourth TD toss to make it a 13-point game with 4:27 left. "I think we could have easily cashed it in there when the game was out of hand," Washington coach Steve Sarkisian said, "and I thought our guys competed for four quarters." The Huskies (2-1), who had their six-game winning streak ended, kept coming back after big mistakes allowed Nebraska to quickly increase its 20-17 halftime lead to 34-17. Washingtons Chris Polk ran 22 times for 130 yards, and Nebraskas Rex Burkhead had 22 carries for 120. Price was 21 of 37 for 274 yards. He was intercepted twice, with his last one allowing Nebraska to go into victory formation with just over a minute to play. Martinez completed 10 of 21 passes for 155 yards, and he ran for 83 yards on 17 carries. It looked as if the Huskers would take control after Washington, as Sarkisian said, had a "complete meltdown" in the third quarter. The Huskies gave Nebraska a short field when Desmond Trufant was penalized 15 yards for interfering with Burkhead as he tried to catch a punt, and they were charged another 5 yards for sideline interference. Nebraska started at its 44 and ran on seven of eight plays before Burkhead bulled into the end zone from the 1. The Huskers were set up at the Washington 1 seconds later. Bishop Sankey dropped the kickoff, and teammate Kevin Smith couldnt come up with the ball as a horde of Huskers converged. Mathew May recovered, and Burkhead punched it in for his second touchdown in 9 seconds. "Its a present in your hands," Burkhead said of Washingtons turnover. "Its a great feeling. You just scored a touchdown, and you realize youve got another opportunity right there." Pelini said it was a great effort by May, who lunged for the ball over teammate Eric Martin. "You feel for that kid from Washington," Pelini said. At the time, some Nebraska players thought the win had been secured. "I didnt personally think we put them away," Martinez said, "but I kind of think our team did." Linebacker Lavonte David said, "We kind of let down a little bit." Nebraska was up 44-17 after Aaron Greens 6-yard TD run with 12:18 left, but within five minutes it was a 13-point game. Polk scored on a 2-yard run, and Price hit Johnson for a 10-yard TD. "I didnt like the way we finished defensively," Pelini said. "We relaxed a little and did a couple boneheaded things there at the end. But I like where we are right now. Were 3-0 and the process continues." Martinez threw for two touchdown passes in the first half, marking the second time in his career he has thrown for more than one TD in a game. Martinez connected with Kenny Bell for 50 yards on the games first play from scrimmage before flipping a 3-yarder to fullback Tyler Legate for a touchdown. It was Nebraskas first on an opening series in nine games. After Ameer Abdullahs 66-yard kick return set up the Huskers at the Washington 34 in the second quarter, Martinez threw a 25-yard TD pass to Green. Washington copied from Fresno States game plan a week ago against Nebraska and had Price roll the pocket to the outside. He and Jermaine Kearse teamed up for two touchdown passes, a 38-yarder on the Huskies first series and a 6-yarder after Abdullah muffed a punt. Nebraska has scored at least 40 points in each of its first three games for the first time since the 1995 national championship season. "It was a good win for our football team," Pelini said. "I told the team that the beautiful part about it is theres a lot more out there for us. We can get a lot better in every phase." Cheap Myles Jack Jersey . -- Robert Luongos return to Florida couldnt have been better. Cheap Telvin Smith Jersey . Long-standing doubts have been cast over the legitimacy of the participants intentions. Many have surmised that both Jim and Jim were in on the melee and the whole episode was rehearsed. If thats the case, it did no favours for either party, as Rome in particular struggled to book guests in the wake of the incident. Neither party has ever admitted to staging the fight, and the sentiments were likely real. . The Dallas Stars arent going to press their 31-year-old forward for an answer, either. Peverley said Tuesday he would have to undergo testing that would include workouts to elevate his heart rate.INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana coach Frank Vogel wants to see his team come out of the All-Star break the way it opened the season when the Pacers won 16 of their first 17 games. Theyre off to a good start. Paul George scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Pacers to a 108-98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. "We understood the dog days (of the season) would be a grind," Vogel said. "Now thats behind us." David West had 17 points and Lance Stephenson added 13 to help the Pacers beat the Hawks for the second time in three meetings this season. Not only does Indiana want to start the second half of the season like it did back in October, the Pacers want to be even better. That could be scary for the rest of the NBA. "We want to peak towards the end of the season and were on our way," centre Roy Hibbert said. "The last 20 games, we want to play our best ball." Kyle Korver scored 19 points, shooting 5 for 7 on 3-pointers, and Lou Williams added 18 points for the Hawks, who have lost six straight. The Pacers, who return from the break with three games in five days, went on a 12-2 run in the third quarter on a basket by West, two 3-pointers by George and a dunk and layup by George Hill to stretch the lead to 73-54. The Pacers put the game away when Ian Mahinmi converted a three-point play and Danny Granger hit a 3 to make it 101-82. After the Pacers jumped to a 19-point lead in the third quarter, the Hawks scored seven straight. Korver hit a 3, Jeff Teague made two free throws, and Williams had a layup to make it 75-63. West gave Indiana an 80-67 lead with two free throws before Atlanta scored six straight on shots by Mike Scott, Williams, and Paul Millsap. For Atlanta, starting a stretch of four games in five nights, the teams injury woes didnt get any better. Forward DeMarre Carroll was listed as a game-time ddecision, but didnt play for the second straight game because of a left hamstring strain. Blake Bortles Jaguars Jersey. And centre Gustavo Ayon left in the first half with a right shoulder injury and didnt play in the second half. The Pacers almost shut the door on the Hawks right from the start, using a 16-0 run to build a 22-5 lead early in the first quarter. Stephenson hit a 3, West scored twice, and Hibbert made two free throws. Later, George, who scored 14 first-quarter points, hit a jumper, a 3-pointer, and later dunked with 7:00 remaining in the opening period. "We werent getting good looks at the basket," Korver said. "They were making everything it seemed like and we dug ourselves a really big hole." Indiana led by 22 in the first quarter when Stephenson scored with 4:37 left to give the Pacers a 31-9 lead. The Hawks then went on a 12-2 run. Elton Brand scored and Korver hit a 3-pointer. West made two free throws to extend the lead for Indiana before Williams hit a 3 and two free throws, and Millsap scored to make it 33-19. "We have to be able to get off to good starts," George said. "We have got to understand that teams are going to rally back, but I thought they made the game closer than it needed to be when we had a good lead." The Hawks got within three when Korver hit a 3 to make it 52-49 with 1:02 left in the first half, but never could get over the hump. George made two free throws and Hill hit a 3 with 7.2 seconds left in the first half to give the Pacers a 57-49 halftime lead. NOTES: Hawks C Pero Antie was out with a right ankle stress fracture. ... F Al Horford was out after having right pectoral muscle surgery. . G John Jenkins was out while recovering from lower back surgery. . Indianas 35 points in the first quarter was the most Atlanta has given up in the opening quarter this season. .
